Betty Jean Shriver, 76, entered into eternal life on December 25, 2019.  Betty was born on November 5, 1943 at St. Valentine Hospital in Wendell, Idaho.  She was the first of nine children born to the late Paul and Marjorie (Fuller) Shriver.  She graduated from Buhl High School in 1962, and moved to Phoenix, Arizona to attend Glendale Community College, majoring in business.  While attending college, she began working at U-Haul International, Inc. at their corporate headquarters in Phoenix.  She continued working in the state & local tax department from 1966 until she returned to Idaho in 1991 to live and work.  She was married in 1970 and divorced in 1991.  When she returned to Twin Falls, Idaho in 1991, she purchased her home and resided there until her death.   She worked for United Oil in their Twin Falls home office in accounts payable from 1992 to 2019.  She enjoyed her work and meeting people who did business with United Oil.  She also enjoyed attending sporting events played by her nieces and nephews.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Buhl, Idaho and a member of the Southern Idaho Draft Horse and Mule Association.   Betty will be remembered as a generous and loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Betty is survived by three sisters, Kay Shriver of Waukegan, Illinois, Linda Skeen of Filer, Idaho and Rita (Tim) Abbott of Kimberly, Idaho; three brothers, David Shriver of Spokane, Washington, Richard Shriver of Boise, Idaho and Owen (Claudette) Shriver of Buhl, Idaho; sister-in-law, Rae Lene Shriver of West Jordan, Utah; and brother-in-law, Brad Bishop of Buhl, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Marjorie Shriver; her brother, Tom Shriver; and her sister, Sharon Bishop.

There will be a graveside service held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 4, 2020 at West End Cemetery in Buhl, Idaho officiated by Pastor Tubbs of the First Christian Church, Buhl, Idaho.  Friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon immediately after graveside services at the First Christian Church, 1005 Poplar Street. The family requests that memorials be made to a local boys & girls club or women/children shelter or your favorite charity.
