Alvaro Peralta, Jr.

May 25, 1996 — March 30, 2026

BUHL

Alvaro Peralta, age 29, of Buhl, Idaho, passed away in 2026. He was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to his loving parents, Alvaro and Martha Peralta.

Alvaro didn’t just love soccer, he lived it. He was kicking a ball as soon as he could walk. That love never left him. It’s something you can still see today in his 2-year-old nephew Kyrie, who kicks everything in sight, just like Alvaro did. He played all four years at Buhl High School as a goalkeeper, where his teammates quickly became more than teammates, they became his brothers. That brotherhood stayed with him long after high school as he continued playing with his friends on the Idaho Spuds.

He carried that same love into coaching the Buhl Lady Indians soccer team. He poured himself into those girls, not just to make them better players, but better people. One of his proudest moments was helping lead them all the way to the state finals, where they took 2nd place. He loved those girls and believed in them completely.

Alvaro was a hardworking man. At Chobani, he was known as someone who showed up, worked hard, and never complained. That’s just who he was. If something needed to be done, he did it. No questions asked. That same work ethic showed up at home too. He loved working alongside his dad in the fields and truly strived to be the best son he could, especially when extra hands were needed on the farm.

He was proud of who he was and where he came from. Alvaro carried his Hispanic heritage with pride. It was part of his identity, his family, and his legacy.

Above everything else, Alvaro loved people. He had a quiet way about him, but his impact was loud. As a kid, he was shy, so shy that he would let his siblings do the talking for him. But through effort and determination, he grew into someone who could lift others up with his words. He had a gift for helping people see their worth in God’s eyes, simply by how he treated them.

He was a peacemaker in every sense. When things got tense, especially between his siblings, Alvaro was the one who would step in, calm things down, and remind everyone that they loved each other. That was his way, bringing people back together.

Family meant everything to him. He loved being with his mom, especially enjoying the meals she made just for him. He loved talking with his siblings and was especially close with his brother Daniel. The two of them were inseparable, the kind of bond you don’t see every day. He loved his sister Elizabeth deeply and treasured every moment with her and her family.

He was also an incredible uncle “Uncle Alvie” a title he wore proudly. His nieces and nephews adored him, and he adored them right back. He had a way of spoiling them like no one else, honestly, sometimes more than their own parents, Sam and Liz. On their birthdays and Christmas, he went all out. He just loved seeing them happy.

Alvaro was also the biggest Peralta, not just in size, but in heart. He gave the biggest hugs, the kind that made you feel safe and loved all at once.

He found deep joy and love in his relationship with Daphne Marin. She gave him some of the happiest months of his life, and he cherished every moment they spent together.

Alvaro was a man of strong faith. He believed in Jesus Christ and tried to live that faith every day, through kindness, service, humility, and love. He didn’t just talk about it, he showed it in how he treated everyone around him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pedro Peralta, Yolanda Peralta, Eziquel Cardoso Rosas, and Carolina Cardoso Cortez.

He is survived by his parents, Alvaro and Martha Peralta; his brother Daniel and family; his sister Elizabeth and family; his girlfriend Daphne Marin; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who love him deeply and will miss him more than words can say.

Alvaro’s life was full of love, love for God, for his family, for soccer, and for people. And if you knew him, you felt that love.
