Arnold Clifford

Arnold Wilson Clifford, 81, of Twin Falls, passed away January 19, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Arnold was the oldest child born to Virgil and Beatrice Clifford in Idaho Falls, Idaho July 31, 1935. The family moved to Roberts, Idaho where Arnold went to school and graduated from Roberts High School in 1953. From 1957-1959 he served an L.D.S. Mission in Northern California. Upon his return from the mission, he joined the Army National Guard and obtained the rank of II Lieutenant in the US Army.

In 1961, he married Linda Ostler and together they had 12 children. They were later divorced. In 1992, Arnold married Vivencia Ramos in the Manilla, Philippines L.D.S. Temple. They have one daughter together.

Arnold worked for 15 years, building aircraft for Boeing Commercial Airline Division starting in 1966. He worked for the I.R.S. as a Revenue Officer until his retirement.

Arnold was a lifetime member of the L.D.S. Church and held many different positions there. He was an avid gardener, fisherman, camper and enjoyed working with the boy scouts. He was known as a lover of animals.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Brent and Tamara and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Vivencia; children, Arnold (Suzanna) Clifford Jr., Sherri (Wesley) Hutchinson, Debbie (Richy) Owen, Jeff (Tara) Clifford, Michael (Glenda) Clifford, Kathy (Matt) Fletcher, Craig (Heather) Clifford, Nathan (Alicia) Clifford, Matt Clifford, Crystal (Spencer) Ray, Carrie (Erron) Nowland; brothers, Phil, Marvin and Kevin; sisters, Treva, Karen and Judy; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the 19th Ward L.D.S. Church (723 Hankins Rd.) in Twin Falls. A viewing will be 5 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 23rd at Farmer Funeral Chapel (130 9th Ave. N.) in Buhl and from 10 - 10:50 a.m. at the church before the services. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park with Military honors.
