Beulah Clark

July 17, 1921 — March 28, 2014

Beulah Della Clark, 92, of Buhl passed away March 28, 2014 at Saint Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, with family at her bedside.

She was born July 17, 1921 to Charlie and Cassie (Henson) Ford near Jane, MO. Raised on the family farm, she attended the White Rock School in Jane. On March 18, 1939, she married her best friend George Clark. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before George passed away on November 6, 1999. To this union three children were born: Dennis Lee, Freddie Joe and Linda Joy. In 1946, they moved to Castleford, Idaho, where they resided for three years. They then moved to Buhl. Even with eight years farming and trucking in Declo, they maintained a home in Buhl for the rest of their lives. Beulah was a homemaker and seamstress who made beautiful clothes for her children and grandchildren. She loved to garden, raised fryer chickens, and was renowned for her fried chicken. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her family and a generous, caring, kindhearted woman. Beulah attended the Assembly of God Church where she taught classes, served as leader of Women’s Ministry and as Secretary–Treasurer for a number of years. Later in life, she looked forward to the monthly Tuesday fellowship services held around the valley.

Beulah always found time for her family and loved ones. She was a supportive wife who worked with her husband in the trucking business. In addition to serving as secretary and bookkeeper for the business, Beulah drove truck for many years. After their retirement, Beulah and George enjoyed traveling. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. They loved going to “Grannie’s house” and had many fun times together. She was a fun loving person and we will miss her laughter, funny expressions and wit. Most importantly, she was a Christian woman, wife and mother who taught her family Christian values. When faced with difficult problems or decisions, she would say, “I’ll pray the Lord to guide you.” She prayed for her family daily. Beulah often spoke of her heavenly home and greeting the loved ones there. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Cassie (Henson) Ford, husband George Clark, son Fred Clark and brother Elmo Ford; sister-in-law, Irene Ford.

Beulah is survived by son Dennis (Donna) Clark of Twin Falls, Idaho, daughter Linda (Wayne) Stahlecker of Buhl, Idaho, grandsons Tracy (Serena) Clark of Twin Falls, Brian (Debbie) Clark of Merritt Island, Florida, and Gary (Andrea) Stahlecker of Twin Falls and granddaughter Lynette Stahlecker of Filer, as well as great grandchildren Kathryn Clark (Twin Falls), Sydney and Kellen Clark (Merritt Island), and Alivia Stahlecker (Twin Falls).

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 110 Fruitland Avenue in Buhl, with Pastor Greg “Bear” Morton officiating. There will be a viewing from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Funeral services are under the direction of Farmer’s Funeral Chapel in Buhl.

Memorials may be made to the Calvary Assembly of God Church or Buhl Quick Response.
