BUHL

BEVERLY J. WAGNER

Mom passed away early Wednesday morning May 13, 2026, surrounded by her family after a short illness.

She was born in Marshfield, OR on November 20, 1929, to Allan Roscoe and Leta June Birdwell. At the age of 5 their family moved to Buhl, Idaho where she attended and graduated from Buhl High school in 1948.

It was at the Ramona Theater that Mom met her soon to be forever love, Earl Wagner. They married on January 11, 1949 and made their home in Buhl where they raised their 4 children: Russell, Susan, Alyce and Robert.

Mom retired from the Green Giant/Pillsbury Company. Together Mom and Dad spent their time traveling, going on many camping and fishing adventures. They also enjoyed making memories for their 11 grandchildren.

They celebrated their 50th Anniversary before Earl passed away in 1999.

Mom kept busy doing volunteer work in our community. She loved helping with the Soup Kitchen, the Food Pantry, the Blood Mobile and most of all helping with the funeral dinners at Church. She became the Chairman for the committee which made her take great pride in helping prepare the meals and serving those at a time of loss. She even kept a scrapbook with obituaries and the food they served for the families.

She was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Parish. She was involved with the Women’s League and loved serving the cake at the Lenten Fish dinners each year. One of her sadnesses was having to give up these volunteer positions when her body wouldn’t allow her to do them anymore.

She is survived by her 3 children: Susan Ambrose, Alyce (Mike) Wolf and Robert Wagner of Buhl. Her treasured 11 grandchildren: Lacy (Bill) Cridland, Farrah Woody, Jared (Kristine) Ambrose, Kyle (Kara) Ambrose, Christopher (Stephanie) Wolf, Jennifer (Cody) Cowden, Stacy (Shane) Allen, Clay (Nicole) Wolf, Alex (Randee) Wagner, KriSjaan (Jason) Will and Arik Wagner. She was blessed with 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson that she didn’t get to meet. They all called her “Grandma Great”. She leaves behind 2 sisters, Barbara Barnes and Sharon Chandler and one brother, Melvin Birdwell; plus a brother-in-law, Walt Wagner; 3 sisters-in-law, Sandra Wagner, Barbara Hosman and Eva Wagner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Wagner and a son Russell Wagner; her parents; 2 sisters, Miriam Birdwell and Nola Kacalek and one brother, William Birdwell; along with many more in-laws.

Mom, you will be so missed by your family and friends. We would like to give a special thank you to her granddaughter, Jennifer Cowden for caring for our Mom for the last several years in many aspects. Thank you to Cindy and her team at Visions Hospice.
