Carol Bulkley

Our sweet, beautiful mom, Carol Marjorie Bulkley, passed away on May 9, 2017. After an extended illness, she is resting peacefully.

Carol was born to Percival and Margaret Iler, on December 27, 1935, in Toronto Canada. She immigrated to the United States in 1952 at age 16 with her mom and sister and resided in Pocatello, Idaho. Carol became a citizen of the United States in 1958. She married Jimmie Dale Bulkley on June 27, 1959, and they made their home on the family farm in Castleford, Idaho. Together they had three children, Michael James, Robert Scot, and Kristin Alexandra.

Carol attended Idaho State College majoring in foreign languages, German and French, while working full-time at the Mountain Bell phone company, as a long distance operator and supervisor. Carol was an avid reader and fascinated with studying history, biographies, politics, and religion. One of her favorite things was to go with her sister to bookstores. Together, they would spend hours scanning the aisles for books that sounded intriguing. She also enjoyed listening to classical music and Opera. Her passion, though, was her family, whom she loved and served with all of her heart and effort.

Carol is survived by her beloved sister, Judith Baldwin of Boise; her three children, Mike Bulkley of Castleford, Bob Bulkley of Castleford, and Kristin Bulkley of Camas, Washington; five grandchildren, Nathan, Zachary, Rachel, Aiden, and Breyonna, and one great grandchild, Broadie.

Services will be held 2:00p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Magic Valley.
