Cory Jack Darrell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cory Jack Darrell. Cory passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2026, at his home located in Cantonment, Florida at the age of 52.

Cory was born on August 19, 1973, in Offutt AFB, Nebraska, to Jack and Lorena Darrell.

He grew up in Buhl, Idaho and graduated from Buhl High School in 1991. In his youth, Cory was committed to the Boy Scouts of America, and his dedication earned him the highest achievement in the program as an Eagle Scout. After high school, Cory chose to bravely serve his country in the United States Air Force. Throughout his time in the service, Cory was recognized for many achievements and ultimately rose to the rank of Master Sergeant and continued to serve his country until his retirement in 2012.

After his retirement from the military, Cory decided to pursue a higher education and graduated from Pensacola State College with his bachelor’s degree in cyber security. Later, Cory worked in cyber security information compliance for the United States Navy.

While his passing leaves a profound loss, Cory will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends, the kindness he showed others, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all, however, his memory will continue to live on through the stories, laughter, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.

Cory is survived by his mother, Lorena Darrell; and siblings Cassie Owens, Aaron Darrell, Tabitha Stephensky, Sean Darrell, and Kara Secondi.

Cory was preceded in death by his father, Jack Darrell; and his sibling Ryan Darrell.

May he rest in peace and be remembered always.

Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the Snake River Canyon National Cemetery, 1585 E Elm St, Buhl. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Cory’s life.
