BUHL

David E. Rollins, 64, of Castleford and Sugar City, Idaho, passed away on October 2, 2023. He was born on June 22, 1959, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Janet Glander Rollins and Ronald S. Rollins. He grew up in Pocatello and Castleford.

David was a kind man with a very adventurous spirit. He constantly sought new endeavors and ideas to explore, guided by a warm heart and inquisitive nature. Education was one of his greatest passions, and he had a deep love for learning and teaching. He proudly earned his Masters in Education Administration at ISU. David believed in the power of experience as a teacher and always dove headfirst into his interests.

David had a successful career as the Vice Principal at the Juvenile Corrections East facility in St. Anthony, Idaho. His dedication and commitment to the welfare of young individuals was commendable, and he made a positive impact on the lives of many. He would regularly take steps out of his comfort zone to find new ways to give back to those in need and expand his own perspective on the industries he would become an integral part of, and strive to improve them from within.

He loved his family, friends, good food, satisfying drink, and New Orleans, the city and the football team, the Saints.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald; and his brothers, Rocky and Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy, of Sugar City; his sons, Alexander (Bekky) and Liam (Anaka); his granddaughter, Penelope, all of Pocatello; his mother, Jan, of Castleford/Buhl; his three sisters, Melody (Jim) Cunningham, of Chubbuck, Judi (Dale) Fehringer, of American Falls, Laura (Pocatello); and his sister-in-law, Toni of Meridian.

A ceremony to honor David’s life will take place in early summer of 2024. Details of the service will be announced at a later date.

David will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
