Doyle Hitt

Doyle Douglas Hitt, of Buhl, Idaho passed away November 28, 2022. He was born May 14, 1944 in Gillette Wyoming to parents, James Raymond Hitt and Etta Ollie Hitt. Doyle completed school at Williamsport area Senior High School. He went on to trade school to work in the field. He wanted to excel at and become a Mechanic. In his family’s eyes he was the best at his job. He worked hard to provide for his family.

On October 14, 2000 he married Caroline Hitt in Filer, Idaho. Through this marriage he extended his family and later even adopted a grandson, Wyatt, and made him his son.

Doyle participated in Rotary, tractor pulls, and Antique Car Clubs. Doyle loved his Oliver Tractors, his family and dogs. He loved to sit outside in the evenings with a cold beverage and look out over his property at what he had accomplished and think about what he could improve next. He enjoyed going and watching his son, Wyatt, play basketball for his first time. He talked about his kids and his family with great love. He loved taking off during the days to go and shoot the breeze with friends around town.  One of his favorite things to do was get on his tractor and just move dirt around to build himself a nice park area.

Doyle was preceded in death by parents; brother, Gary; son, William Carter; and daughter, Nancy Carter.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline; brothers, Danny and Larry Hitt; son, Allen Hitt (Amy); son, Paul Carter (Jeanie), daughter, Raynay Shetler (Jack); son, Nile Price; son, Wyatt Hitt; as well as multiple grandkids and great grandkids and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 9, 2022 at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Ave North. Buhl. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Doyle's memorial webpage at www.farmerfuneralchapel.com.
