Elaine Rita Brightwell

Elaine Rita Brightwell, born on July 31, 1946, in Akron, Ohio, passed away on October 15, 2025, at her home in Buhl, Idaho. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaving behind a legacy.

Elaine dedicated an impressive 30 years of her career to Clear Springs, where she was valued not only for her work ethic but also for her unwavering support and affection for her colleagues. Her commitment to her job highlighted her tenacity and dedication, qualities that she carried into every aspect of her life.

While she was not deeply committed to her community, Elaine was involved with the local Senior Citizen Center, where she cherished the time spent with friends and fellow seniors. She found joy in simple pleasures, including walking, sewing, and immersing herself in the pages of her beloved bible.

Elaine is survived by her loving sons, Dean Cromer, Dan Cromer, and David Cromer; her cherished daughter, Julie Shumaker (Cromer); her granddaughter, Felisha Pohlman; as well as her great-grandchildren, Aubrey Black, Korbyn Pohlman, Aaron Pohlman (Great Grandson-in-law), Bradley Sheppard, and Hailey Cromer. Each of them will carry forward her memory in their hearts.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Bernice Brightwell, who instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion that she exemplified throughout her life.

A memorial service celebrating Elaine's life will be held on November 7, 2025, at Buhl Bible Church in Buhl, Idaho. The service will begin at 10:00 AM, with a reception to follow at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and to share in fond memories of a truly remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.
