Elizabeth "Beth" Owen

May 21, 1944 — December 6, 2022

CASTLEFORD

Elizabeth “Beth” Faye Owen, of Castleford, passed away peacefully at her home on December 6, 2022. Beth was born on May 21, 1944 in Twin Falls to Maxine J. and Leland W. "Pud" Lewis.

Beth attended school in Castleford.

She married Ronald D. Owen and moved to Portsmouth, Virginia during his tour of duty in the U.S. Navy. She and Ron moved back to Castleford at the completion of his service and raised six wonderful children. Beth faithfully served nearly 40 years of tenure at Lamb Weston in Twin Falls where she retired as the Manager of the Frozen Foods department.

Beth's greatest joy was attending every possible sports event that her daughters, sons, and grandchildren participated in over a 50-year period. Everyone in the valley knew how intense Beth supported those kids and their teams and the kids knew to step it up if their name was called by Beth. She was also known to let the coach know if she thought he could do things a little better or different.

Her most enjoyable times were spent on camping, hunting, and fishing trips she and Ron made with their children and families as well as the many friends who always wanted to be with the Owen crew because they had more fun. Family dinners and get-togethers were also high on her list. One of the saddest times in life for Beth was enduring the untimely death of her son, Randy due to an accident near Castleford while he was delivering boy scout tickets to his teacher on his bike.

Beth is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ron; daughters, Marcy (Lee) Cline and Shannon Owen; sons, Rob Owen (Marcy Brodine), Rich (Debbie) Owen, and Ron "Hoover" (Kelly) Owen; and grandchildren, T.J. Cline; Ashli, Chance, and Casey Easterday; Cader, Amanda, Brody, Addee, Tanner, and Taylor Owen. Beth's greatest pleasure of late was her great grandchildren, Colin Richards, Carson Cline, Teylan Easterday, Callen Owen, Mackley Owen and most recently Waylon Easterday. Beth is also survived by her brother, Jim Lewis (Joyce) of Meridian; sister, Leslie Gilham of Filer; and a host of nieces and nephews. Beth was preceded in death by her son, Randy; a baby brother; her sister, Joyce McCreery; her aforementioned parents, Maxine and "Pud" Lewis; and her in-laws, Carter D. and Marie Owen.

A funeral service for Beth will be held at 10:00 am., Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Ave North, Buhl. Interment will conclude at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Twin Falls.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Beth’s memorial webpage at www.farmerfuneralchapel.com.
