Emma Lou Hollingsworth - Buhl
Mrs. Emma Lou Hollingsworth (Maxfield), passed away peacefully and went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Aug. 5th at River Rock assisted living center in Buhl, Idaho.
She was born to Allen Lincoln and Minnie Delong Maxfield, September 8, 1927; and raised in Eau Gallee, Wisconsin. She was married to Charles W. Hollingsworth for 63 years before his death in March of 2009.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Buhl Idaho. Emma was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse who worked with Dr. Cullings, Dr. Smith, Dr. Anderson, Magic Valley Memorial Hospital, Herald Nursing Home and the Seneca Green Giant plant in Buhl.

Emma was highly respected in the Magic Valley medical community. She was a loving mother to 5 children and cared for her disabled veteran husband Chuck. Emma would always lend a helping hand to anyone in the community who was hungry or in need of special medical care.
Her passions were her children, gardening, crocheting, and bowling. She truly missed her YaYa bowling sisters in her later years.
Emma is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, husband Charles W. Hollingsworth, 1 grandson Chase Hollingsworth,1 great granddaughter- Cholise Wray, and 1 great grandson-Jacob Diaz.
Surviving Emma are her daughters, Rita (John) Wray of Buhl, ID, Mary (Mike) Potter of Eagle River, WI, Susan (Carl) Bridwell of Jerome, ID; her sons, Charles A.(Loraine) Hollingsworth of Twin Falls, ID and Jeffrey Hollingsworth of Ft. Worth TX, 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the Buhl United Methodist Church. A viewing will be 5 - 7 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl. Interment to follow services at Buhl's West End Cemetery.
