Glenn Elwell

March 9, 1949 — February 24, 2022

BUHL

Glenn Alan Elwell passed peacefully from the arms of his family into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, at 2:06 a.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Born on March 9, 1949 in Alhambra, California, to Frank and Dorothy (nee Burrell) Elwell, Glenn was the second of three children.

He graduated from Whittier High School and went on to graduate from Cal Poly Pamona in 1971 with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering.  While attending Cal Poly, Glenn worked at the W.K. Kellogg Horse Unit where he met the green-eyed (contacts) love of his life, Judith Ann
Halleran. They were married in Pamona on September 18, 1969.  In the following years they were blessed with two children, David Aaron, and Katherine Arianne.
While living in Southern California, Glenn worked at Container Corp. of America, Reeves Rubber, and Hunt Wesson Foods.  In 1980, the family moved to the great state of Idaho where they made their home in Jerome for 28 years.

While working at McClure Engineering in Twin Falls, Glenn studied for and obtained his Professional Engineer License in Mechanical Engineering.  Pursuing this avenue of engineering led to Glenn discovering his calling of installing and designing radiant floor heat systems.  He continued sharing his knowledge of radiant design and quietly radiated Jesus' love until the end of his life, wrapping up his final project on February 22, 2022.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; Judy's parents, Charles, and Marian Halleran. He is survived by his wife; his sister, Jere Elwell; his brother, Howard (Peggy) Elwell; his son, David Elwell; daughter, Katherine (Gerard) Brennan; grandchildren, Ryan (Bo) Miller,
Tyler Elwell, Brette Elwell, Matt (Nina) Elwell, Michael Calhoun, and Maggie Calhoun; great grandchildren, Ayden, Blake, and Caylee Miller, and Daxon Elwell.
The family would like to thank St. Luke's MSTI, St. Luke's Palliative Care, and Hospice Visions for the excellent care throughout Glenn's journey.  They would encourage memorial donations to prostate cancer research and education in lieu of flowers. Please contact family for
precise information or call 1-800-227-2345.
