Jake F. Prudek passed away November 13, 2015 at MVRMC following a short illness.
Jake was born to Jacob and Rose Prudek on September 30, 1923. Jake graduated from
Castleford High School in 1942. He joined the Idaho National Guard and upon graduation he
began active duty in the U.S. Army. Jake served in the Pacific and arrived in Japan 10 days after
last atomic bomb was dropped. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.
After World War II, Jake completed 2 years of college at Albion Teachers College and Universityof Idaho. After College Jake returned to Buhl/Castleford to farm and raise polled Herefordcattle with his brother Rudy and his wife Marjorie for the rest of his life. Jake served for 25years on the Twin Falls County FSA board and was inducted into the Magic Valley Cattleman'sHall of Fame. Jake loved family, cattle, pheasant hunting, bridge and dancing. Jake was blessed to have many wonderful friends in the Magic Valley.
He married Marjorie P. Monnahan of Filer on February 15, 1953. He is proceeded in death by

survived by his sister Rose Hahn of Twin Falls and her daughters and grandchildren, brother
Vladimir Prudek and family, wife Marjorie Prudek, daughters Shanna Clannin and family, Gail
Leudtke and family, Joan Vandevuer and family and son Jack H. Prudek and grandson
Christopher. Per Jake's wishes there will not be a funeral and his ashes will be spread on the
