James Ashe

James William Ashe, 49, of La Quinta, California passed away June 21, 2012 at his home in California.
James was born January 27, 1963 in Oakland, Ca. he attended school in Buhl, Idaho graduating from Buhl High School. After high school, he worked at Clear Springs Trout Company and later joined the U.S. Navy. He spent 26 years in the Navy, retiring as an AECS E-8 in 2009. Through the Navy he received a bachelor degree in aeronautical engineering from Embry -Riddle Aeronautical University.
James, nicknamed "J.J." and "plasticman" by his family, was a jokester and loved to harass family members especially his sisters. He loved boating, fishing, golf, woodworking and motorcycles. He was a loving son, brother, husband, uncle and nephew. Beloved to many, he will be greatly missed.
James was preceded in death by his father James F. Ashe; grandparents, Bill and Mae Oliver, Tony Rubino and uncle, Bob Ashe.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie Ashe; Mother and step-father, Judy and Tom Terronez; sisters, Tina (Rick) Brown, Suzy (Rick) Snow, Babs (Tom) Lucas, Lisa (Ray) Wooten, Erlinda (Rusty) Larsen, Shawna Wright; brothers, Frank (Cynthia) Pendleton, Thomas (Kelly) Terronez, Kelly Whiteley, Billy (Brenda) Whiteley, Kyle Whiteley, Terry Sullivan; grandmother, Bea Rubino; Aunts, Janice Young, Joyce Short, Doris Wittaker, Faye (Charles) Carter; uncle, Larry (Teresa) McDonald; 27 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Buhl First Christian Church. Military honors to follow at the Buhl West End Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl.
