Loved to the moon and back, and more than there are stars in the sky
Janet Lynn Wilson Eggleston passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 26, 2026, in her home at the age of 51.
She was a mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who left an everlasting mark on the people who loved her. Janet fought incredibly hard through the last few years of her life and faced more than her share of difficult days. May we find comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace and no longer in pain.
Anyone who met Janet knows how funny she was. Even on her worst days, she could still find a way to make you laugh. Those who knew her well will remember her for her humor, her sweet personality and the laughter and memories she left behind. Her absence will be felt in ordinary days and even more during life’s biggest moments. She will be loved, remembered and missed more than words can say.
While saying goodbye is incredibly difficult, there is comfort in knowing she can finally rest and has been reunited with loved ones who passed before her.
Janet leaves behind a family who will carry her love, her laughter and her memory with them for the rest of their lives.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; her daughter, Ashley; her mother, Linda; her sister, Ruthann; her stepchildren, Adrian, Courtney and Lonny; and her beloved grandchildren, William, Jeremiah, Leia and Nova Lee.
Janet was welcomed into heaven by the loved ones who went before her: Claudine Wilson, her grandmother; Wellington Paul Wilson, III, her father; Tye Wilson Alvey, her nephew.
We find comfort in knowing that after fighting so hard for so long, she is finally at peace and surrounded once again by those she loved and missed so dearly.
In Janet’s words:
“Oh Pwaps!”
“I’m Pooping!”
“Stop running dad, you’ll chafe”
“mmmmmmmmmkay”
“Close the door you’re letting the flies out”
“Make out session”
“Chunky pee”
“Ash-o-bee”
“Lissa Lissa lay, Lissa tiny ho”
“come on skin!”
“Frennnnnnay!”
“Make good choices!”
