Jeffrey James Crouch

November 28, 1974 — December 3, 2025

BUHL

Jeff was born to Maryann Hunter and James Robert Crouch in San Diego, California on November 28,1974. He was the oldest son, followed by Heather Hodgeson, Brianne Huffman and Tyler Crouch.

He grew up in Valley Center, California. Jeff enjoyed his childhood surfing with his dad and spending a lot of time on the water. His other loves growing up were hunting and fishing. He enjoyed playing sports in school as well.

Shortly after high school, he joined the pile driver union and worked on several large bridges in Southern California. On October 28, 1996, he indentured into the Southwest Carpenters Union where he continued to stay until his passing. He had 30 years invested. On December 10, 1996, he started working for Hamann Construction for most of these years, where he and all those that worked with him became family. The last 2 and a half years, he worked with Summit Creek Construction in Kimberly, Idaho, working on the Gemstone Project.

Not long after high school, he married June Robb. They resided in Riverside County, California where they had four children: Jaylin Crouch, Kyle Crouch, Nathan Crouch and Allison Crouch. They were later divorced.

He later fell in love and married Rachel Lenor Crouch (Meats). They loved each other so much, they married three different times: April 11, 2015; then sealed in the Redlands Temple on September 24, 2016, and again on February 1, 2025. With this marriage came four more children; Dusten Kramer, Seth Keene, Sarah Keene and Deserae Strickland. They then became a family of ten with eight children and Jeff and Rachel. The blended family found love on the beach together (where they spent many hours) hiking, traveling, seeing and going to new places and just hanging out playing games.

During this time, they resided in southern California in San Jacinto and then Nuevo. In July 2024, Jeff was given the opportunity to move to Idaho and start a brand-new job: The Gemstone Project. A home was purchased and farm animals were moved. Jeff loved Idaho, the freedom state he called it. He taught his wife to fish. They spent many hours fishing together and exploring Idaho. He loved the outdoors most of all and Idaho gave him just that.

Jeff was baptized along with two of his children into the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints in 2014. Jeff served with the bishopric and helped with the young men, but what he loved the most was the Primary. He loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his in-laws Demiris Reid and David Reid. He is survived by his wife, his parents, many grandchildren and many friends who he thought of as more than friends.

Jeff left this earth far too soon and will leave a huge hole in so many lives. We will miss you, Jeff.

Until we meet again…
