Jeri Cox
1939 ~ 2017

On the morning of September 5, 2017, Jeri Cox peacefully left this earthly life to meet her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mom and her twin brother, Johnny, were born January 8, 1939, to John Regadera and Charlene Hamilton Regadera in Castleford, Idaho. Mom was born Geraldine Regadera, but those who knew her quickly understood that she much preferred Jeri!

She grew up and was schooled in Castleford where she had many friends and was active in most every club and organization there was and this did not change through out her life. She married her love and soul mate, Marvin Cox in 1957 in Fort Ord, California. When Marvin completed his military training, he and Jeri started their family and raised their two daughters, Debbie and Sandy, on the family farm. The couple spent over 50 years farming and many years dairying and later devoted a great portion of their time and labor to the sheep industry.

Mom was active in Buhl Calvary Chapel, Gideon's International, State Director of Make It Yourself with Wool, Idaho Wool Growers Association, Ladies Lead Line, was a 4-H leader, and the first woman appointed to the Twin Falls County Fair Board. She was an excellent homemaker and cook; always making tasty treats to enter competitions and share with friends and neighbors. She was an excellent wife, mom, grams, and great- grams.

Mom had a large personality and loved people: She never met a stranger. She loved her family and community so very much and was always volunteering to make a difference. But her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Although it is so hard to say good bye, what joy to know that she is in his comfort and peace.

Jeri is survived by daughters Debbie (Ron) Swearingen, Sandy (Chuck) Butler; grandson Jim Paulin, granddaughters Rachel (Chad) Loveland, Rhonda Faulkner, and Melissa (Edwin) Southfield; great granddaughter Victoria Paulin, and great grandsons Cayden, Colston, and Cash Loveland, and Urijah and Max Gatliff; Sisters Francis (Jack) Kennedy and Rita Ruffing; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin; parents John and Charlene Regadera; and twin brother Johnny Regadera.

A funeral service has been scheduled for 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Calvary Chapel in Buhl. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel of Buhl, Idaho.

The family extends sincere gratitude to Visions Hospice and Desano Village for the love, care, and compassion they gave to mom over the past several months and to her many friends who would stop by to visit.

Donations in Jeri's memory can be made to Visions Hospice, Buhl Calvary Chapel, or Gideon's International.
