John Johnson

May 27, 1934 — May 12, 2012

John Keith Johnson - Boise
Keith was born May 27, 1934 to Edward Burke and Mary Armstrong Johnson, in Mount Vernon, Washington but was raised in Buhl.
He died in a hospital in Portland, Oregon on May 12, 2012.
Keith was a natural artist, not only in the medium of oil and canvas, but he also could make anybody smile. He knew no stranger as all were his friend.
He loved and honored the great outdoors, enjoying white water rafting, bow hunting and living in tee pees. He collected arrowheads and was a master story teller of Native American folklore. He also could magically make a penny appear out of your ear.
He was employed by the Boy Scouts of America and the Boise City Fire Department before his forced retirement from injuries sustained in a car accident. He served an LDS mission to the Southwest Indians Mission.
Keith is survived by his children, John Keith Johnson II (Lori), Joyce Colette Clemens (Jay), Tim Burke Johnson (Becky), brother Edward (Ted) Johnson (Janice), sisters Vivian Allen and Elaine Hansen . He has 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lola Presley, Genvieve Davis, Evelyn Callas, and Louise Wimmer.
Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Buhl West End Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl.
