Judy Ann Elwell

Judith Ann Elwell (ne'e Halleran)
March 4, 1946 - September 25, 2023

Judy passed peacefully from the arms of her family into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, September 25th, 2023. She was born on March 4, 1946 in Floral Park, Long Island, New York, to Marian and Charles Halleran.

Judy graduated from Wickenburg High School in 1964 and attended Arizona State University for two years before moving to California where she met Glenn Alan Elwell while attending Cal Poly Pomona. She earned her B.S. in Sociology AND her MRS. ;) in 1969. In 1970, the couple was blessed with David, followed four years later by Katherine.
In 1980, the family, including Judy's parents, moved from California to Jerome, Idaho. 
Over her lifetime, Judy was a showjumper, a teacher, a truck driver, a gourmet goods associate, a wife, a mother, and a friend.  She was so much more and, to so many people, she was "the nicest person" they ever met. Judy would tell you, though, that was Jesus shining through.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by her brother, John(Pamela) Halleran; her son, David Elwell; daughter, Katherine Calhoun(Gerard) Brennan; grandchildren, Tyler Elwell, Brette Elwell, Matt(Nina) Elwell, Michael Calhoun, and Maggie Calhoun; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Blake, Caylee, and Daxon; nephew Tim(Katie) Halleran and grandnephew, Pace.

Lunch (11:30am) at Peace Lutheran in Filer will precede viewing and service at 1pm. Graveside immediately following (after a quick hop out to Clover Lutheran Cemetery).
