Kaden Allan Dotson

FILER

Kaden Dotson, 19, of Filer, Idaho, died September 30, 2024, while at work in a tragic crash. Kaden was born January 21, 2005, to Natalie White and Luke Dotson. He spent much of his life surrounded by the ones who loved him the most. Kaden was known for his love of life and his deep commitment to his family and friends. His sudden passing has left a crater in the hearts of all who knew him. Going through this time is difficult and one of the hardest things we have ever had to experience, and the worst part of it all is Kaden would have been the one to make it just a little bit easier. There is a community in mourning right now and it shows just how much everyone loved Kaden.

Kaden grew up and graduated high school in Filer, where he spent his time being with his friends and family, playing soccer and football, and currently holding the “Cornhole Champion” title with his family and friends. He went on to play high school football for the Filer Wildcats. He had dreams of being an entrepreneur and starting his own business and talked about it often, and he wasn’t afraid to learn something new if it helped him move towards accomplishing those goals. He was always willing to do whatever was helpful and would bring a smile to someone’s face. He loved spending time with Jack and the boys going to the gym, and playing video games with Brayden, Ricky, and friends. He got the privilege to work with both of his dads and uncles. He absolutely loved his current job with ABC Supply and everyone he got to work with and making all of them friends. He was always excited to get up and go to work every day, and he was referred to as DJ Kaden while in the work truck.

Above almost anything else, his relationship with his best friend and girlfriend, Payton, was the most important to him. He loved spending time with her and her family, who became his family as well. They started as friends in 7th grade, and she finally agreed to go out with him in high school, which made him feel like the “luckiest guy in the world”, as he told his mom. They went on trips with her family, camping trips with her dad, Sunday dinners at her grandparents, and made amazing memories along the way. He gained an entire “bonus family” and he adored them all.

Kaden will be remembered for his kind soul. He will be remembered for the smile that could light up a room and those beautiful blue eyes. He took his appearance very seriously, and there wasn’t a mirror around that he hasn’t formed a long-term relationship with. His hair had to be perfect and everyone in his life knew it. Appearance aside, Kaden had the biggest heart. He loved with all of it, and it shows through the relationships he has built. He always brought the joy and silliness to any family function, and swimming in his grandparent’s pool surrounded by those that loved him the most was the definition of perfect. His family adored him on every level. He would go out of his way just to make sure you felt loved and included. His cousins loved him because he was never too busy to play with them or do something silly for them, his siblings loved him because he was always there and willing to do whatever he could to help them, but everyone loved him because he was Kaden.

He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his genuine kindness, and the unwavering support he offered to those around him. Whether it was helping a friend or making someone laugh when they needed it most, Kaden had a gift for brightening the lives of others.

Kaden is survived by his parents, Luke Dotson and Aaron and Natalie White; his sisters, Alexis, Emma, Taylor, and Mylee; brother, Cameron; his longtime girlfriend Payton; his maternal grandparents; paternal grandfather; aunts and uncles; many sweet cousins; and many, many friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, his GG, and great grandparents on both sides.

We love you Kaden. You made such an impact on so many people. This world will never be the same with you not in it. You got grandma and grandpa out of the house like 10 times this week alone. We will miss your smile and your laughter. We will miss the hair flips and muscle flexing any time you needed to show us how “swole” you were. You will be missed by so many people; the house has been non-stop since Monday night. Even after you’re not here you are still bringing us all together. We love you man. We keep waiting for that door to open. You will be with us always in everything we do.

Love you, Deuces. Uncle Matt
