Kathy Lyn Jones

Kathy Lyn Jones, a member of the Twin Falls community and a lover of the land, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, in her hometown of Twin Falls, Idaho. Born on September 22, 1959, Kathy dedicated her life to farming and ranching throughout southern Idaho, nurturing not only the land but also the many animals and people she loved.

Kathy's kindness and caring nature were hallmarks of her character. She was deeply devoted to her family and had a special passion for veterinary science and animal care, reflecting her lifelong commitment to the wellbeing of all creatures. Always surrounded by animals and loved ones, she found joy in tending to her animals and spending precious moments with her grandchildren, celebrating their growth and accomplishments.

Known for her warm and encouraging spirit, Kathy was a source of light and positivity for those around her. Many will remember how she would call each night, offering shelter from negativity and encouraging others to see the bright side even in the darkest storms. Her strength and optimism left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Kathy’s educational journey included earning her GED from the College of Southern Idaho, a testament to her dedication to personal growth and learning.

She is lovingly survived by her siblings Ronnie and Susan Jones; Sharon and Kip Gould; Neva and Mike Lewis. Kathy’s beloved son, Michael, and his wife Maria, along with her grandchildren Tyler and Johanna, Brandon and Laura, Justin and Olivia, and Casey, carry forward her legacy of love and resilience.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Bob and Virginia Jones, as well as many beloved pets who shared her life and heart.

Her passing brought sorrow to many, yet comfort came from being surrounded by family—her son, Michael, was by her side during her final moments.

A memorial service to honor Kathy Lyn Jones will be held on May 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Farmer Funeral Chapel, located at 130 9th Ave N, Buhl, Idaho 83316.

Kathy Lyn Jones’s life was a profound example of kindness, care, and unwavering dedication to family and community. Her legacy endures in the hearts of those she loved and cared for so deeply. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
