Margaret Torkelson

Margaret Marie (Smith/Moore) Torkelson, 67, of Filer went to be with our Heavenly Father on October 1, 2014.
Marge was born March 26, 1947 to Willis and Kathryn Smith in Twin Falls, Idaho. She married her first husband Gary Moore on March 1962 and gave birth to three sons who she dearly loved; Farron Moore, Willis Moore, and Darron Moore. She married her soul mate Dwayne Torkelson on April 22, 1995.
She graduated from nursing school as an LPN in 1973. She worked as an LPN at the Twin Falls Clinic and as a Hospice Visions care taker for approximately 23 years. Maggie also worked for Blick & Reese (Blick Brothers), Green Giant, Central Self Service/Central Auto Sales, Super Quick and other various stations. She has several grandchildren, Chelsea Kelly, Brandon Moore, Dwight Moore, Gabe Moore, and September Moore; one great-grandchild, Wrayden Pierce. She is survived by her husband, Dwayne Torkelson; her sons; her sons' wives, Kathy, Dorothy, & Stephanie; her grandchildren; great grandchild; sister, Francis; brother-in-law, Delmar Irish of Pocatello; nieces, nephews and cousins as well as some dearly loved friends. She is preceded in death by, her mother and father; two brothers, Carlton and Howard Smith, and one sister Betty. Her first husband Gary whom passed away in 2010.
Her funeral will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Calvary Chapel in Buhl located at 1004 Burley Ave. Burial will follow at Twin Falls Cemetery located at 2350 4th Ave East in Twin Falls, ID. Arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel of Buhl, Idaho.
