Mervin Randall

Mervin E. Randall, 87, of Buhl, passed away May 12, 2013 with his wife and daughters at his side.

Mervin was born Jan. 5, 1926 to Jim Randall and Zetta Royse Randall in Boise, Id. He lived in Bruneau and then moved to Buhl with his parents. Mervin graduated from Buhl High School. He enlisted in the Army Air Force and served in the 5th Air Force 63rd Squadron in the Pacific. He was stationed in Japan.

After he returned from the war, he married Audrey Roubinek of Buhl. They have two daughters and would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in June.

Mervin owned his own photo studio in Buhl, he worked for Home Lumber and Coal, Fairfield Implement and owned the Greenawalt Home Furnishing store in Twin Falls and Randall's Furniture and Floor Covering in Buhl. He retired to his farm in Buhl.

He served his community in service organizations, Humane society, county weed board and helped start the shuttle service at the Twin Falls County Hospital. Mervin enjoyed hunting and fishing the lakes and streams in Idaho. He was a member of the Buhl First Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister in law and brother in law, Marjorie and Al Bauscher.

Mervin is survived by his wife, Audrey; daughters, Susan Randall, Sherry (Jim) Griffin; adopted daughter, Heidy Herschbach; grandchildren, Libbie (Jason) Smith, Curtis (Jyl) Griffin, Beth (Duane) Maxwell; nine great-grandchildren; niece, Paula (Drew) Forney and nephew, Randy (Mary) Bauscher.

Merv loved animals and they loved him. Having always had a pet, we would like to suggest donations to Magicats Inc., PO Box 481 Buhl, Id. 83316 or the Buhl First Christian Church 1005 Poplar St. Buhl.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl. Interment with military honors will follow at the West End Cemetery in Buhl.
