Michael Busmann

Michael Lewis Busmann, 66, lifelong resident of the Buhl area passed away unexpectedly, Monday evening April 9, 2012 at his home with his loving wife at his side.

On March 15, 1946, Mike was the first son born to Charles L. "Bud" Busmann and Pauline Kelly-Busmann.

He attended schools at Buhl and graduated from Buhl High School in 1964. After graduation, he began working in Buhl for Kirkham Auto Parts and also joined the Idaho National Guard where he served for six years.

On March 20, 1970 he married Connie Reynolds in a ceremony at Elko, Nevada. The couple recently celebrated their 42nd anniversary. After their marriage they resided on a farm in the Buhl area. Mike began farming with his father and two brothers which was the start of a lifelong career as a farmer. In 1996, Mike also started selling corn and alfalfa seed for Dekalb, a job that he loved and continued doing until his death.

Mike loved camping, fishing, golfing and riding ATVs, riding with many friends. He also loved a good game of cards. If you knew Mike, you know that he loved a good visit with all his friends. He had a lifelong love for dogs of which he had many different favorites throughout the years. Mike loved the family gatherings with the Reynolds' clan; never wanting to miss a single event. If you asked any of that family, you'd hear that Uncle Mike made the parties more fun.

Mike is survived by his wife Connie; two brothers, Pat (Martha) Busmann, Dennis (Lynn) Busmann; nieces, Pam (John) Osterkamp, Patrice (Vince) Hamilton, Char (Michael) Jackson; nephews, Allyn (Candy) Reynolds, Kelly (Janet) Busmann, KC Busmann and Josh (Jessica) Busmann; numerous great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister and brother-in- law Melvin Reynolds.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the First Christian Church in Buhl. A viewing will be 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl.
