Michael “Mike” Gene Graybeal of Twin Falls, formerly of Castleford, was born Tuesday September 12, 1951 and passed away May 25, 2025 in Twin Falls Idaho from unexpected medical complications. He was surrounded by family and friends singing, praying and praising God as he left this world. He was born to Calvin and Lola Graybeal; he was the second of five children.
Mike grew up on the family farm surrounded by grandparents, siblings, aunts/uncles, cousins and a loving community. After graduating from Castleford High School he attended the University of Idaho earning his degree in Animal Science. He then returned back to Castleford to help out on the family farm/dairy.
He married the love of his life, Cheryl Ann Page, on October 23,1976 and moved a mile down the road to start his own dairy herd. For 25 years he worked hard caring for the animals, volunteering with the church, and providing for his wife while they welcomed their two daughters Noelle and Malorie.
In the mid-nineties, when the church was in need of a pastor, Mike switched from a herd to a flock and agreed to be the interim until a permanent pastor was found. It was always his joke that he “filled in” for 20 years. After those two decades he went to work for the Twin Falls Canal company as a ditch rider until he finally decided to retire for good.
Mike loved camping, some fishing, gardening, learning, thinking, planning, designing, and creating. He cherished spending time with his wife, children, and his four wonderful grandchildren, family and friends. He cared deeply for his community and the people he knew. He was most concerned with spreading the news of the Gospel and trying to pray for and love others.
Mike is survived by his wife and best friend of almost 49 years Cheryl, his children Noelle (Jordan) Stebbins, and Malorie Graybeal. He has four grandchildren; Audrey, Katherine, Grace, and Levi Stebbins. His siblings Don (Silvia) Graybeal, Karen (Bill) Garrison, Lisa (Kirk) Ihander, and Debbie (Steve) Pugh. Many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held June 14, 2025 at 2:00 at the First Christian Church, 1005 Poplar St, Buhl, Idaho 83301. There will be a dessert reception to follow the service.
