Myrna Amanda Bowman

Myrna Amanda Bowman (Buirgy) woke up in the arms of the Lord on March 23, 2026, in Buhl, Idaho. Myrna was born October 24, 1948, in Denver, Colorado to Theodore and Margaret Buirgy. An avid reader from an early age, she was also very involved with raising dairy goats.

Myrna spent her early years in Colorado and then relocated to Arkansas with her first husband. In Arkansas, she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Bowman with whom she eventually returned to his home state of Idaho. She served a brief stint in the National Guard. Her work typically followed Bob's and included processing fish at various Buhl hatcheries, Universal Frozen Foods/Lamb Weston, and she completed her working years delivering rural route newspapers around Buhl and Jerome.

Showing dairy goats was her greatest hobby. Myrna was a member of the American Dairy Goat Association and Goats-R-Us 4H Club where her sons were active. She loved the western lifestyle, especially horses and watching rodeo. She was actively engaged in Christian fellowship at Calvary Assembly of God and Magic Valley Baptist Church in Buhl.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and Bob, with whom she enjoyed 43 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Karel (Neighbors); sons, Richard (Dawn) Bowman and Ronald (Tiffanny) Bowman; stepchildren, Shirley (Tim) Davis, Robert Bowman, Estella Higgins, Audrey (Carl) Ireton, Beverly Bowman, Rachel Coleman, and Dan (Rosa) Bowman; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm, Monday, March 30, 2026, at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Ave N, Buhl. Fellowship will follow at Magic Valley Baptist Church, 400 9th Ave N, Buhl. A private inurnment will take place at Snake River Canyon National Cemetery, Buhl.
