Rebecca Ann Doney

Rebecca Ann “Becky” Doney, of Buhl, Idaho, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at the age of 79.

Becky was born on February 17, 1947, in Bonneville, Idaho, to Franklin Humphrey and Margaret Humphrey (Wright). She grew up in Buhl, where she shared countless adventures with her siblings along the banks of the Snake River, creating memories that she carried with her throughout her life.

Becky married Wayne Elwin, and together they lived in Boston, Massachusetts, where they began their family and raised four children: Davina, Dana, David, and Diane.

A devoted mother, Becky was known for her kind heart, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family. She instilled in her children strong values, practical wisdom, and a deep appreciation for family. She also possessed a wonderful sense of humor that brightened every room she entered and, as she often joked, made sure to pass along to “some” of her children.

Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Elwin (1986); her sister, Betty Kinnett; her mother, Margaret Wright; her brother, Clinton Bloomingkemper; and her grandson, David Wayne Jr.

She is survived by her four loving children: Davina Clawson (Matt) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; David Elwin (Mari) of Meridian, Idaho; Dana Elwin of Jerome, Idaho; and Diane Brown (TJ) of Castle Rock, Colorado. She also leaves behind a large and loving family, including 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and, much to her delight, 12 grand-dogs. Becky treasured the time she spent with her family and took great pride in watching it grow through the generations.

Becky was a proud and faithful member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Buhl, Idaho. Her faith was an important part of her life and provided her with strength, comfort, and fellowship throughout the years.

Becky will be remembered for her loving spirit, her laughter, her resilience, and the wisdom she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Whether offering advice, sharing a story, or making those around her laugh, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know and love her.
