Robert A. Campeau

July 14, 1957 ~ October 30, 2025

Robert A. Campeau was born in Tacoma, Washington, on July 14, 1957, to Junior and Mary Campeau. His father worked for the railroad, and Robert fondly remembered riding the train with him as a young boy. He and his mother attended the Catholic church, where he served as an altar boy at just seven years old.

Robert developed a strong work ethic early in life, beginning at age eleven by moving irrigation pipe and selling vegetables from the family garden to earn money. At fourteen, he had to leave school to care for his younger brother and his gravely ill mother. After her passing, Robert made sure Roger finished school—a testament to his deep sense of responsibility and devotion to family.

After serving in the military, Robert married and later divorced. Over the years, he held several jobs but spent the majority of his career as a truck driver.

Robert eventually settled in Buhl, Idaho, driving long-haul routes for Dennis Clark Trucking. During this time, he met a Filipino woman online and decided to travel to the Philippines to meet her. Though that relationship was short-lived, his trip turned out to be life-changing. While visiting a computer store in Manila, he met Jennifer—the love of his life—who was working there. After returning to Idaho, Robert and Jennifer stayed in touch online for a year before he was able to bring her to the United States, where they married.

When their daughter Brianna was born, she immediately captured Robert’s heart. She was his “little Twinky,” and the two shared a very special bond. For three years, Jennifer and Brianna joined Robert on his long-haul trucking trips, sharing many adventures on the road. Throughout that time, Robert was determined to help Jennifer achieve her U.S. citizenship—a process that took thirteen years, but one he was deeply proud of.

At home, Robert took great care of their acreage and loved spending time in the mountains with his family, taking in the beauty of nature and wildlife.

Although his work made it difficult to attend church regularly, Robert stayed rooted in his faith by reading the Bible and praying with his family. After retiring due to health reasons, Robert and his family began attending Calvary Assembly of God, where they quickly became a beloved part of the church community. Robert cherished many long conversations with the pastors there.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Mary; his father, Junior; and his brother, Billy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Brianna; his sisters, Nancy and Linda; and his brother, Roger.

A service will be held at Calvary Assembly of God at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 5, with a lunch to immediately follow.
