HOLLISTER

Robert Lee Loughmiller, 69, passed away peacefully in the home he shared with his wife, Jamie in Hollister, Idaho. Robert and Jamie came together in 1998 and were married October 11, 2014 at Bear Gulch. Robert loved cooking potatoes for the Rogerson Party, barbequing with his smokers for parties, weddings and celebrations of life while sharing his famous “Cowboy Kool-Aid” He was passionate about family, family was everything to him and it showed. He enjoyed hunting, camping, long drives all over the hills, wiener roasts, shooting the bull at Rogerson Service and Jacksons in Buhl.

He spent countless hours watching the rodeos and spaghetti westerns that he so loved. For many years, the very first thing he did at the Filer fair was to go find his nieces’ and nephews’ pigs which brought him such happiness. He was a fantastic grandpa and loved telling stories about his grandchildren and spoiling the crud out of them.

He had many, many, dear friends too numerous to mention here. However, I would like to give a special thank you to Glendale Construction and the Sluder family. Robert absolutely loved his job. Thank you for having his back throughout his struggles with heart disease. You never ever gave up on him! Please know he was so happy and at peace because he was so excited to go back to Hagerman. It was the happiest I have seen him in a while. Please know we are so grateful for everything and have the utmost respect for you all!

Robert is survived by his mother, Isabelle; his wife, Jamie; two sons, Trevor (Kairee), and Levi (Jackie); eight grandchildren, Elijah, Aaliyah, Dominque, Jocelyn, Alexander, Artemis, Leonidas, and Phoebe; brothers, Larry (Judy), Andy (Deb), Charlie (Amy) and Miles; sister Jana (Shawn); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, George Thaine Loughmiller; sister, Jenny; many beloved aunts and uncles; and his sister-in-law, Rene.

Robert was adamantly opposed to having a traditional funeral service, and to honor his wishes we will instead have a Celebration of Robert’s Life. We will have a potluck dinner barbeque held from 3pm until 7pm, Friday, July 16, 2021 at Rogerson Service, 1506 North 2300 East Rogerson, Idaho. Please bring any special stories you would like to share. Thanks in advance to Anita and Rob for taking on such a huge endeavor.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Robert’s memorial webpage at www.farmerfuneralchapel.com.
