We are sad to announce that Rose Barbara Hahn, 90, passed away surrounded by her loved ones, on February 5, 2026, at Vision’s Hospice House in Jerome, Idaho.
Rose was born April 29, 1935, to Jacob Prudek and Rose Clara (Kocka) Prudek in Castleford, Idaho, making her the youngest of six children. She attended school in Castleford, Idaho, graduating in 1953.
December 31, 1954, Rose married Dean William Hahn. During their marriage they had two daughters, Janene and Carrie. Fifteen years later in 1969 Dean and Rose’s marriage ended, however, they still remained close friends.
In 1968, Rose decided to attend the “Artistic Beauty School,” which resulted in her opening her own salon the “Chat-n-Curl,” in Twin Falls, Idaho in 1969. She ran her salon for 41 years, closing it in 2010 at the age of 75.
Besides loving and raising her own two children, Rose couldn’t help but love and guide other children that came into her life. This list includes Joe Gulick, Sara (Gulick) Bateman; her granddaughter, Angie Wayment (Byron), and her great grandchildren; Jessi, Sean, Alexandria, Ashlynn, and honorary great granddaughter Amorai.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Evelyn Reedy, Virginia Prudek, Rudy Prudek, Jake Prudek, and Vladimir (Lud) Prudek.
There will be a memorial service held at Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl, Idaho, on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
The family would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to Vision’s Hospice for all of the love and compassion they showed while caring for our loved one during her stay there. We are so blessed she was in such a wonderful place with such outstanding care.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Rose’s memorial webpage at www.farmerfuneralchapel.com.
