Sherry Laybourne

October 12, 1957 — April 11, 2016

Sherry Lynn Laybourne passed away April 11, 2016 at her home in Lewiston, Idaho, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 58 years old.

Sherry was born on October 12, 1957 in San Bernardino, California to Wanda and Richard Shearer. Shortly after, Wanda married James Dye and he raised her as his own. She had 10 siblings.

Sherry grew up in Chino, California and attended Chino High School and graduated a year early in 1973. Sherry was a long standing and decorated member in the civil air patrol growing up on the Chino airport.

In 1975, Sherry married the love of her life, James Laybourne. After moving to Pollock Pines, California in 1978, Sherry had two children, Amy and Jeff. Sherry started her 22 year career in floral design and crafts, owning her own business for many years. Sherry moved her family to Buhl, Idaho in 1991, where she continued her career until she started working at Sportsman's Warehouse and became a manager for 13 years working in the Twin Falls Idaho, Reno Nevada, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho & Lewiston, Idaho stores.

Sherry's passions in life included yard sales, collecting antiques and fishing for salmon and steelhead on the Snake and Clearwater rivers. Most of all Sherry loved her 9 grandchildren.

Sherry was a woman who loved life and helping people, touching hearts everywhere she went. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends and coworkers. She was proceeded in death by her husband, mother and father and brother.

Sherry is survived by her children, Amy Miller of Buhl, Jeff and Mona Laybourne of Sandpoint; Grandchildren, Brittani Janes, Ryan & Colin Miller, Calli, Carson, Chloe, Carly, Caylee & Colton Laybourne; Sister Cathy Pindell of Buhl and Brother Richard Shearer of Alabama.
