Shirley Edith Pearson

May 31, 1949 — May 28, 2026

BUHL

Shirley Edith Pearson was born May 31, 1949, in Boone County, Arkansas to Arlis and Edith Dixon. She passed from this life on Earth May 28, 2026, and entered the kingdom of God.

She grew up in the Castleford/Buhl area, attending Lucerne and Castleford School, graduating in 1967. She went on to attend Juan's cosmetology school in Twin Falls.

Shirley moved to Boise, working in salons until opening her own shop, where she enjoyed working and made many wonderful friends along the way.

In 1990, Shirley married her high school sweetheart, Terry Pearson, and became a farm wife. She loved the life they built together-feeding baby calves, gardening, and raising her beloved puppies. Shirley was an incredible cook and baker and took great pride in everything she did. One of her greatest joys was her son, Eric, whom she was immensely proud of and loved deeply.

Shirley cherished spending time with family and friends, especially on trips to Hawaii, where she made lasting memories and treasured every moment.

Shirley is survived by her son, Eric; her sister, Linda Sue Stombaugh; their grandchildren, Jason (Briza), Taylor (AJ), Eric (Keira); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry; her parents; brothers, Bill Dixon, Jr Dixon, Bervin Dixon, and Dale Dixon; and her sister, Virginia Cope.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Twin Falls Animal Shelter, 420 Victory Avenue, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.

A graveside service will be held at West End Cemetery Tuesday, June 9, 2026, 10:00am.
