Terry Lee Clark, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, peacefully passed away at his home in Buhl, Idaho , on August 25, 2025, at the age of 87. Terry was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on January 17, 1938. He lived a life rich in accomplishments and affection.
Terry graduated from high school in Glenns Ferry, Idaho, and soon after joined the Navy. Some of his most cherished memories came from his four years serving aboard the Shangri-La aircraft carrier with 3,400 men proudly serving the United States Navy. After his service, Terry attended Portland State University, where he studied engineering, later working for Portland General Electric. He became a contractor for Power Engineers in Hailey, Idaho, after moving to our Muldoon Ranch, where he and his family lived until 2018, when they relocated to Buhl, Idaho.
On March 23, 1963, Terry married his beloved wife, Anita K. Mathewson. Together they built a family filled with love and support. He is survived by his wife, Anita K. Clark; his son, John S. Clark; his daughter, Simone L Torres; grandchildren: Emma, Sam, Max and Kaylee; and two great-grandchildren; Rosalie and Terry, his namesake and many nieces and nephews who stayed in close contact with him through the years. Family stories and memories became his favorite conversations-he loved each and every one and wished for their success in life.
Terry was a gifted woodworker and hand wood carver, devoting countless hours to creating characters, animals, and intricate flowers. His drawings in charcoal and pencil were always precise and authentic. Active in the National Wood Carvers Association, he traveled extensively to meet with fellow artisans, sharing his talents and enjoying the camaraderie of a wonderful group of people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Gladys Clark; his stepmother, Lucille; his brothers, Hale, Neil, Miles, and Max; his sister Juanita; and two infant children.
A graveside service will be held at Snake River Canyon National Cemetery in Buhl, Idaho, on September 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
