Tom W. Cooper, 88 of Hagerman, Idaho, passed away peacefully at his home on June 13, 2026. He was the son of Thomas K. and Udine Winn Cooper.
Dad was born on December 16, 1937, in Nevada. He moved to Star with his family in 1946 and then to Nampa in 1948. Dad was always a hard worker and helped his parents farm in Nevada and in Idaho.
Dad was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and his faith was very important to him.
Dad had a varied career in farming, trucking and sales while living in Idaho, Montana, Nevada and Arizona. He was a lifelong learner who was able to reinvent himself professionally when the need arose.
In retirement, Dad bought a bus company and bus barn in Hagerman where he met his wife Ann. He and Ann enjoyed a quiet life after the bus company was sold and dad continued to drive on a special occasions. He was always up for a road trip, especially if it meant spending time with family.
Dad loved to fish with his grandkids, work alongside his boys, and spend time with his girls. Last summer we were together for a reunion in Hagerman with his children, grandchildren and even a few great grandchildren in attendance. He went ziplining with us and took us on an epic bus tour of the Twin Falls area sharing with us all of his favorite places. He loved having us all together in one place and was looking forward to another reunion next summer.
Dad was an encourager and a listener. All of us kids called him on a regular basis to chat, seek advice and check in with him. He was always quick to listen and ask us about our own lives, our kids and our grandkids. In the last 3 months we have all had visits with him in Hagerman.
Tom is survived by his wife, Ann, his children; Richard, Cindy, Ken, Mari, Don, Jennifer, Scott, Paul, Kim and Tim and his sister Caren (Bill) Jensen. He was loved by 25 grandkids and 25 great grandkids, 2 great-great-great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Myrna, Marilyn, Mary Ann and brother Jerry as well as his son, Dale, grandson, Kyle and daughter-in-law, Trish. Dad was adored by each of us and leaves behind a great legacy.
