William "Bee" Schmitt

October 30, 1934 — February 3, 2022

BUHL

We lost two special people in our lives within 48 hours of each other proving that love is truly a strong bond and what keeps us together. Violet died at home suddenly, and after receiving the news of his wife’s death, William died within 48 hours at a nursing home where he was recovering from hip surgery.

Violet was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was also a hard worker, not only at home but at her job at Clear Springs Trout, where she worked until she retired.

William was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was also a hard-working man. Not only did he have his family, he worked the family farm and at Amalgamated Sugar in Twin Falls until he retired, but he continued to work on the farm.

They were both devout members of Jehovah’s Witness and spent many hours devoted to teaching others.  All that knew them knew how important their love for and faith in Jehovah God was.

They are survived by a brother, Alvin Smart; and sister, Joy Duggan; four sons, Allen Batman, Darrel Schmitt, Raoul Schmitt, and Harlan Schmitt; grandchildren: Tommy Batman, Joel Schmitt, Rachel Schmitt Wood, Ashley Schmitt Rodden, Melanie Schmitt DeMartini, Mathew Schmitt, Christopher Smalley, Julie Smalley, William Machacek, and Eric Machacek; and many great grandchildren.

They were preceded in death by their daughters, Mescal Schmitt, and Dawna “Bunny” Schmitt Machacek.

There will be a memorial service via zoom held at a later date.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Vi and Bee’s memorial webpage at www.farmerfuneralchapel.com.
