Wilmetta “Metta” Terherst-Gruenwald
(12/9/59 – 5/30/25)
If you are reading this I have passed. I was born in Twin Falls Idaho on December 9, 1959 and went to meet my heavenly father on May 30, 2025 due to a quick acting illness. I was born to Joe Terherst and LaVonne Terherst. I was the oldest of three children including my sister, Jonetta and my brother Brian. I spent my years in Arkansas and Idaho. I enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, car racing and loved baseball.
I worked for Lamb Weston for 20 years where I met the love of my life and husband, Jimmy Gruenwald who was my partner in life and my best friend. I loved the outdoors. After retiring, I spent my time gardening and working in the yard, often helping elderly folks and widows with their gardens, yards and flowers.
I want to thank the church congregation for all of your prayers and caring, loving thoughts. I especially want to thank my husband Jimmy for his patience, compassion and care through my illness. I also want to thank my sister Jonetta for her devotion to me in my time of need and for acting as my caretaker when my husband Jimmy could not be with me. Thank you to Charity, Deserae, my father Joe and my brother Ray for helping me during my time of need and for the kind thoughts and prayers of everyone on my behalf.
My celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Farmer Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Ave N. in Buhl Idaho. I will be laid to rest next to my mother and my brother at the Filer Cemetery following the celebration of life. As our Lord and Savior promises in Psalms 147:3 the Lord will “heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds.” For one steeped in Devine love, as I am, there is no death, but rather, eternal life.
God bless you all.
