Kathy Carrizales

Kathy E. Carrizales, 62, died on June 10, 2022, at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho. She was born April 15, 1960, in Arizona, the daughter of Fred D. Brown and Idella P. Neeley.

Kathy attended Tulare Union High School but graduated from Tulare Adult School, where she was an honor student and graduated at the top of her class. Kathy worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the 80’s where she hurt her back and became disabled.

She met the love of her life, John Silva, and moved to Idaho around 2004. He was blessed to have her in his life for 18 years. She was a full time grandma, and loved to go play Bingo on Sundays. She would sing karaoke with family and friends, loved to dance and have fun. When she walked into a room, she would light it up, being the fun-loving person she was. She was a fighter, cancer survivor, and she was kind. She would try to help anyone in need. She will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Idella P. Neeley; brothers, Jerry Henderson and Donald “Ducky” Brown; and sister, Phyllis Elouise Brown. Surviving in addition to her fiancé, John Silva, are her daughter, Melissa (John) Moya; sons, Ryan (Mindy) Quintana, of Buhl; and Ruben Quintan; nine grandchildren, Anthony D. Zepeda, Jasmine A. and John J. Moya, Ryan “RJ”, Neveah Addie, Reina Bella, Jozette Renea, StarLynn Elizabeth, and Raiden Quintana; nieces, Leonora Thompson, and Louella Jefferies; and nephews, Jorge Meza and Richard “JJ” Henderson of California.

A funeral service will be held at  2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at First Christian Church, 1005 Poplar St, Buhl, with a viewing beginning at 1:00 pm.
